Hey Family….I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving! My family and I went to Atlanta this year and had a blast!! The weather was beautiful. I was expecting it to be in the 30’s and it wasn’t…I say Atlanta knew I was coming..lol
Here is look #26! This denim jacket was perfect for that beautiful Atlanta weather….even though I didn’t get to wear it not once…lol
Now let’s talk about this denim jacket. I LOVE this pattern y’all!!! I made it a few months ago for a feature in Sewn Magazine and hacked it. CLICK HERE to check it out. As I was making the jacket for the feature I immediately knew I had to have another one. As I’m in the process of making MY white denim jacket (emphasis on MY) my daughter says “Oh mommy…I REALLY like that white denim jacket”. I looked at her and said “Thank you” and continue sewing. It was at that moment I knew this jacket was no longer MINE…LOL
As you can see, she has fully claimed this jacket which means I will be making another one. Now you know I must REALLY REALLY LOVE this pattern to make 3 of them.
The details in this denim jacket are amazing. It allowed me to practice my top stitching and welt pocket skills. And YES, there is A LOT of top stitching. I would suggest taking your time if you decide to make it. Norris Danta Ford gives EXCELLENT step by step instructions on You Tube to follow.
I washed and dried the jacket twice after I made it to soften it up and give it that wrinkle look.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I did. I can’t wait to see you again.
Much love and many blessings!
