Hey Family…We are 1 week til Thanksgiving and the weather is starting to change here in Florida. It was 68 degrees this weekend and I was freezing….lol… Now I know my northers are saying “Gurl Pleeeaasseee”. I know…I know…lol But I’m just not use to this cold……. I opened my front door this morning and IMMEDIATELY closed it back when that wind chill hit my face. Then I said “Thank You God for allowing me to feel that wind chill today!!” Now when I saw this pattern I immediately knew it was a MUST HAVE!! I love when the Pattern speaks to me. This one has such great versatile options and with our weather changing this was PERFECT!! Here is look #25!
I’ve had this scuba knit fabric in my stash for about a year and a half. I actually bought it to make a blazer (which I started), but is now a UFO (UN-Finished Outfit) because I just wasn’t feeling it.
When I saw this pattern I knew that scuba knit would be perfect, but I didn’t have enough because I started the blazer. As I’m walking through Joann Fabrics to find more of the scuba knit (which I did not find) this plaid rayon just screamed at me “Hey You”……I turned my head and said YES to the fabric!!
I immediately knew I wanted to color block the sleeves with the plaid. My dilemma was I wanted my skirt to match! I decided to hack the skirt by adding a panel of plaid on the sides seams! It came together just as I saw it in my head!
If your thinking about making this…DO IT!!! It is a quick sew with so many options. The long sleeve cuff detail sold me. I will definitely be making about 3 more!!
Thank You so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I did. I can’t wait to see you again.
Much love and many blessings!
Tisa
