Hey Family!! I love it when inspiration meets reality! I always love the look of color blocked garments, but very rarely do I make them because honestly, I’m not the best at getting the mixed colors together and making them look FIYAHH!! But I’m learning..lol Here is look #16….
So as I was scrolling through Instagram I saw Tia Mowry-Hardrict wearing this amazing color blocked dress and I LOVE it!! I knew I had to have my own version it.
As I started my journey to re create this dress I knew I wanted my dress to be slightly different in style using the same color scheme. I was so happy with the end results!
I love to “Franken Pattern” or “Hack” a pattern as we call it in the sewing community to create a totally different look. This is one of the many beauty and blessings of know how to sew and make your own clothes. The look may not always come out the way you see it in your head, but that’s OK!! Keep going until it does..lol I happen to love the way this one did!!
