Hey Family! As I continue to showcase my 40 favorite DIY handmade clothes with you, I didn’t realize how much I LOVE print fabric. Look #13 is Simplicity 1006 which I believe is no longer available on Simplicity website, but you may find it on Ebay. This pattern was the winner of Project Runway Junior a few season ago. A 1940’s dress with a modern twist……I was drawn to this pattern for a few reasons. The slit was giving me so much life. I love a dress with a sexy split. The way the dress drapes and flows. And that V-neck…LOVE LOVE LOVE! I knew this was a MUST for me!
I made this dress about 3 years ago or so for my first Mother’s Day fashion show with the Kiwanis of Greater Sunrise. I knew I wanted my dress to stand out, so when I saw this fabric at Joann’s it was a match made in heaven.
This animal print had me feeling myself…LOL That blue/green eyed tiger did something to me!
When I made this dress I decided to omit the sash . I’m honestly rethinking that thought. I love the dress just the way it is, but adding that sash may give it the umphh..if you know what I mean. LOL… The difficulty level of this dress I believe is intermediate beginner.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I did. I can’t wait to see you again.
Much love and many blessings!
Tisa
