Hey Family…..Let me tell you about look # 11! This vintage caftan by Simplicity. Now I know your saying……vintage??? Yes, Vintage. I’ve had this pattern for a minute and every time I see it in my stash I just scroll by, but it continued to stay in the back of my mind. I just couldn’t see my self in this vintage pattern. All I could see was the look of grandma going to the grocery store in her caftan. Now don’t get me wrong grandma looked good, but I didn’t know if I would look as good as grandma……….I was giving my self so many excuses and one day I was like…wait a minute….GIRL You can sew….remember??? You can create what ever look you want! (Have you ever had conversations with yourself like that??!! LOL!! I know I’m not the only one!) This is why I LOVE sewing so much.
So I decided to shorten my caftan to thigh length. I felt like the full length was going to be to much fabric. I wasn’t sure if I would like it short, but I actually LOVE it. Loved it so much I will be making another one full length this time in a solid color.
This was a very easy sew and straight forward. Not much, if any fit is required which is great!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I did. I can’t wait to see you again.
Much love and many blessings!
