McCalls 7654 // Etiquette Fashion Show

OH!! What a weekend I’ve had!!  My mother and I  attended a local fashion show this weekend which was absolutely fabulous.  There were so many designers showcasing their fashions.  I love going to support my fellow designers to see all of their beautiful creations.  

I didn’t know what I wanted to wear, but when I saw McCalls 7654 it was SCREAMING my name!!  I find that McCall’s patterns tend to fit my body very well with minimum alterations. I LOVE that!!  I wanted to buy new fabric for this make so bad (as if  I need anymore fabric..lol) but I didn’t because I’m on a Stash Busting Fabric Fast with my Sew Much Talent Facebook group.

So as I searched my fabric stash I see purple and I’m immediately drawn to it.  Purple happens to be my favorite color (insert SMILE)!  I decided to combine this scuba knit with this breath-taking floral stretch satin I got from Joann’s last year.  This combination came together very well.

I fully lined the dress with a lavender stretch knit.

Now you know my mom was waiting on her dress too…right?? LOL… So I made her this one shoulder number.  She ROCKED IT and she always does!!
